4 TIPS TO AVOID ACNE

Most of us have experienced acne at some point in our lives, some worse than others. When puberty hits, acne can be a serious problem for some people. Eventually many grow out of it, but for some it is a life-long battle.
Regardless, it is important to know why some of us are so susceptible to getting zits and how to successfully eliminate them. Below are 4 tips, precautions if you will, on how to protect your skin against getting acne.
Keep Your Hands off of Your Face
Touching your face is possibly the worst thing you can do before, during, and after an acne breakout. The obvious problem is the bacteria your hand holds-no matter how clean you think your hand is. A pimple is an infection, so when you constantly touch those infections, they become infected further from the bacteria on your fingers.
Also, touching your face causes inflammation and will increase oil production. This makes it easier for acne to occur, and harder for the pimple to heal itself. Lastly, if you do get acne, do not pop the pimples. This will cause scarring and could damage the skin if forced.
